Chat generation and freeform layout
Chat with the assistant to generate script, storyboard, image, and video cards on the canvas. Add cards and upload reference assets anywhere you like.
DramaCanvasHelpChat with the AI assistant to map out scripts, storyboards, character references, and video clips on one canvas. Built for pre-production through final generation of short dramas, comic videos, short films, and promos without switching between scattered tools.
Before building DramaCanvas, we noticed that many existing infinite canvas tools were frustrating to work with. They often felt awkward, and the overall experience just wasn't very good.
DramaCanvas grew directly out of real short drama creation with real creators. As developers, we use it ourselves every day to create stories, and whenever something feels awkward or gets in the way, we fix it right away.
We are a team of 5 people. Our goal is to build the world's easiest-to-use infinite canvas and the best short drama creation platform.
Creating an AI video usually means writing a script in docs, testing prompts in a chat window, switching websites to generate images, waiting in queues on video tools, and finally importing everything into an editor. Jumping between tabs interrupts your creative flow.
Storytelling is not a one-way conveyor belt. Character appearances, camera angles, and lines need constant revision. When assets are scattered across disparate chat histories, changing one detail makes it difficult to keep neighboring shots aligned.
DramaCanvas puts your entire workflow on a visual canvas. As you chat with the assistant, scripts, storyboards, artwork, and video clips unfold together, letting you view the big picture while refining any individual shot.
Describe your premise or core conflict to the AI assistant in chat, or paste an existing script outline.
The assistant lays out script and storyboard cards with shot sizes, actions, and dialogue. You can also add custom cards or upload assets.
Select a shot card and trigger the model to generate storyboard art or video clips, with estimated credit costs displayed upfront.
Tweak descriptions and regenerate shots that need adjustment. Arrange your clips on the timeline to export your video and back up your canvas.

We set out to build an infinite canvas for storytellers: you focus on the narrative, while scripts, storyboards, artwork, and video grow together in one space. Here is how the canvas evolved.
Launched 3D Director Stage: arrange 3D mannequins for character positioning and camera angles before generating shots.
Officially launched as Say Action, opening up the canvas, asset library, and storyboarding tools to creators.
Introduced the AI assistant: share your ideas in chat, and it generates scripts, storyboard cards, and images directly on the canvas.
Opened the project showcase: explore projects made by other creators and copy workflows to your own canvas.
Added Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) support, enabling model calls through personal provider accounts with zero markup.
Added support for 8 languages: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong, Taiwan), English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Enabled MCP support: AI assistants in Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor can now read and modify your canvas directly.
Real-time canvas sync: external AI assistant edits reflect on your open canvas in roughly two seconds.
Rebranded to DramaCanvas with the new domain dramacanva.com; accounts, projects, and credits remained intact.
Expanded the skill store: added complete community production workflows and a curated image prompt library.
Opened skill library access: browse all public creative skills and workflow guides without signing in.
